Role of Project Controller

The project controller is a key member of the project team. Works directly with the project manager to;

  • Create and maintain a project's budget and schedule
  • Project monitoring and data collection 
  • Analyse progress reported against the work schedules
  • Analyse cost variations 
  • Conduct project audits 
  • Manage project schedules 
  • Oversee regulatory compliance 
  • Ensure accurate documentation and reporting 
  • Recommend actions to improve progress. 
  • Serve as liaisons between management and clients 
  • Serve as liaisons between the finance department and the project managers
  • Make or approve project expenditures
  • Perform financial research 
  • Manage project's general ledger 
  • Monitor project's cash flow
